This includes the growing of mother plants, propagation through tissue culture and vegetative methods, meticulous quality control & packing for export & delivery.

At the heart of this complex is a modern Tissue Culture Laboratory, one of Asia’s best, with a capacity to produce 6.5 million plants per year. Company’s plants are exported to discerning markets abroad. Having established itself as a reliable supplier of quality products, it has moved on from the initial buyer Holland, to capture a substantial share of in the critical markets in Europe, Japan, Korea, Japan, Canada and the Middle East.

Serendib Horticulture Technologies comprises of 75 acres of plant nurseries grown under controlled environmental conditions. Mother plants are nurtured on strict quality parameters to ensure a quality end product. All plants are exported in sterile coir fiber or oasis media. The plants are checked for pest and diseases by the national plant quarantine authority prior to every shipment. The high standard of quality has resulted in the company expanding its markets during the past 5 years. Research and Development in floriculture is a new venture that the company embarked to develop new varieties through breeding and selection. Indigenous plants are selected and developed to produce commercial products for new markets.
